MTAC Pasadena in cooperation with National Federation of Music Clubs to give Juniors (18 yrs & under) and Adult member musicians of all abilities the opportunity to perform and receive a yearly evaluation in a non-competitive environment.

Enrollment is now open for 2018 Junior Festival Competition.

Applications are due back on January 1, 2018 to Gerry Keeling, Chair.

Saturday, February 3, 2018  is Junior Festival  at San Gabriel Christian School and First United Methodist Church, both in San Gabriel.

Saturday, February 24, 2018  is Junior Festival Honors Recitals at Church of Our Saviour. All Day.

Awards structure:

Students receive 5 points for a Superior, 4 points for an Excellent, etc.

To receive the first Gold Cup, a student must have accumulated 15 points.

To receive the second Gold Cup, a student must have participated for at least six years and total 30 points.

To receive the third Gold Cup requires 45 points.

The fourth Gold Cup requires 60 points. Only 24 students since 1988 have received this award.

The fifth Gold Cup – the GRAND Cup – requires 75 points.Only 9 students have received this award.

The sixth Gold Cup – the PRESIDENT’S CUP – requires 90 points. This year, 2 students achieved this award to the 2 others since 1988.
