About Us

The Music Teachers’ Association of California, incorporated in 1897, is a professional organization of approximately 4,700 members. Throughout its 125-year history, MTAC has dedicated its efforts towards the pursuit of excellence in music education. Each of the 62 branches throughout the state maintains its own schedule of events & projects and participates in state-wide programs.

Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) Pasadena Branch was chartered in 1947. We are dedicated to upholding the highest musical standards for teachers and students while promoting musical education and professional growth to the community. The Pasadena Branch is composed of accredited teachers in all phases of music study, who find inspiration through their cooperation among colleagues, professional opportunities, and advancement programs for music students of all levels.
